THE FIRST VISIT

The patient fills out minimal paperwork and then after a focused history and physical exam we get into treatment. Sometimes we may take a x-ray if the problem requires it. We usually have seen the problem many times before and have a good idea on how we want to proceed.

Treatment usually begins with modalities like therapeutic ultrasound and electric stimulation.We then do a adjustment, for some conditions acupuncture,soft tissue work, or stretching may be necessary.

Many of the issues people have are multifaceted, for example a person with upper back pain could have decreased mobility of the spine and trigger points in the muscles of their back. For this reason treating both problems will result in a better outcome and yield quicker results.

Acute problems get better faster than chronic so the sooner a person gets treatment the better. If a issue starts to linger for weeks or there is numbness and tingling these are signs to do something and obviously if the pain is significant. We might recommend some stretches or a exercise for the patient to do specific to their problem. We may also talk about ergonomics or inquire what the person's job or activities require physically.

PAYMENT

We accept BCBS ppo which usually pays 100% after deductible. It is a good idea to know your benefits before hand such as deductible or number of visits allowed.

We accept Aetna,Cigna and United Health as well.

We take some personal injury and workers comp and will provide a medical report if requested.
